This armor has a watered steel 62 plate helmet that is of very nice quality --- and is SIGNED and DATED.
The date is Tenmon 2 meaning the year 1533. The signature is Myochin Nobutomo with a Kakihan - not a famous maker but I think he did a good job.
The Tehen Kanamono (on top of the helmet) is quite unusual: flat, and iron, and almost of a piece with the ridges of the Kabuto. A true armor makers design, rarely seen.
I would guess that this gives it more power and protestion than the usual Shakudo and Copper and Gold ones usually see.
Wonderful gold mons on the Fukugaeshi turnbacks, nice Iyozane style throughout,
You can see from the photos of the inside of the helmet bowl (Hachi) that this armor has a great helmet. Samurai Armor #155, price is USD $14,500
